A matter of forgivness

This matter of forgiveness: it is such a simple thing
Though you may not be able to forget the sin: still to forgive
Is divine: so it says in the Holy Bible!
Now the person who was sinned against
Has the right to forgive & forget but
So many just cannot seem to disconnect
There is a major problem in their minds
They just cannot seen to understand it
But if you forgive another for their sin
Then the dear Lord will forgive you for yours!
In forgiving: the benefit you gain: is inside
Your heart will feel lighter your life brighter
Simply because you have lightened your load
That other one: who did the sinning
Really they are winning when you cannot forgive
For they go along their merry way: not even thinking
Yes! They may not even care about what they have done
They just continue on as if nothing has happened
Well: all is well in their sorry little world
They are not bothered simply because 
They were not the ones who were hurt by their actions!
So to ease your own burden I implore you
Forgive & try to forget: get on with your little life
Do not worry about the strife for the dear Lord
Has promised: to one & all: He will do it all
"Vengeance is mine!" says the Lord
Do not worry: He will take care of it all!
