Santiago just said to Zecarias: in pretend mode
"You have to pay to go on the trampoline!"
He had a pretend trampoline on our mattress
(We'd been sleeping in the air conditioned lounge room!)
The memories just came flooding back
Of the trampolines down by the Barmera lake front
Yes! All those years ago at Lake Bonney in summertime
They had a dozen trampolines all lined up
A wooden platform in between them: a few steps to mount
You had to pay the guys who owned them
Can't remember exactly how much it cost but
I do remember asking mum & dad If I could
Still recall getting on a trampoline with my brother Alec
We had so much fun jumping around for those few minutes
All those many long years ago in Barmera!
