Susie & Steve's parents had a take away food shop
Half way down Helen Terrace many years ago
When we visited their place during the holidays
That's where we all ate: yummy fish & chips
Hamburgers & pineapple fritters dipped in sugar
They were kept busy on hot summer days
Selling their delicious take-aways: salads too
Coleslaw, pasta salad& potato salad: home made
I reckon we all put on a little bit of weight then
Simply because it was right there in front of us
Ready to eat: any time of of the day or night!
