Built in the 1960's by a group of farmers
To ensure their kids could swim: it evolved
A 25 metre long pool: 3.53 metres deep
Only 0.95 at the shallow end: still it is a part
Of this little community: so far from everything
Down here on the flats: in between Sedan & Mannum
What a blessing for future generations
Helping us all keep our sanity in this heat
Well the pool lies empty now: just for a while
Necessity came to drain her during the bush fires!
Thank you little swimming pool for giving up your heart
Those fire engines were so thirsty: so parched!
