I couldn't believe my ears
Would there be rain coming?
Looked around: not a cloud in sight!
Hot weather forecast: not rain storms
Crazy hot, hot weather all around
Yet now it is raining here
A gusty wind blows: rain pelting down
I hear it upon our rooftops
I hear it over & above the aircon
It is amazing to hear it's sound!
Bringing some cooler weather? Maybe!
Who knows what God has planned?
So You had as hot summer as we had in 2013 :) But for us it was the wind from the Sahara Desert (just imagine - African wind came even to Central Europe!). I don't know how it looks in Australia, but I think You also must have some kind of hot winds - maybe from equator?

Yes we seem to be getting hot winds from the North: this is usual for our summers! I remember getting hot summer nights for weeks on end back in the 1970's: for two weeks at a time! Recently in the last few years we would only have a few days here & there then it would cool down again! Now we are getting hot summer nights just like we did back then! The hot weather is coming further south from the Equator: that's for sure! Today we had 47 degrees C during the day & it only went down to 40 degrees C the other night! Greetings from hot, hot Australia!
