Nana Lindy walked everywhere
Lived her life without a car
Poor Tim recalls many days
When they had to catch buses
(There weren't that many buses in reality)
Walked Adelaide's streets for miles
Nana saying: "Just to one more bus stop!
You can do it: just a little bit more!
Then we'll get a taxi!" But they never did!
Couldn't afford it to tell the truth!
They had to walk everywhere simply because
There was no money to catch a cab
No money to spare for anything extra
A widow's pension just wasn't enough!
